Editor V.T. Rajshekar delivered a 1 1/2 hour-long talk in our university here on Oct.26, 2010 on the subject “Money-driven society: where it is taking the Bahujans?” The Ambedkar Bhavan of the University was packed with students and teachers. All the Dalit Sahitya Akademy books the Editor bought were sold out.
This is the third lecture delivered by the Editor in this university. Dr. Kancha Ilaiah of Osmania University presided.
Even upper caste students and teachers attended the meeting which attracted students from other universities also.
Bahujan students accepted the proposal of the Editor to release the famous book, Who Killed Karkare? at the university.
The Editor was the guest of honour at a dinner given by Madhava Rao, retired (Dalit) Chief Secretary to the AP State Govt., at the Hyderabad Golf Club. A large number of Dalit, OBC, govt. officials were present.
