Chandigarh, October, 12 :Rubaljeet Kaur a 17-year-old Mulnivasi girl from Punjab village is one of the thousands of unpreviliged girls of Punjab who are unable to continue their education in a state which boasts of being champion in saving girl child with Nanhi Chhan programme launched by daughter-in-law of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
She has now sought help from India’s Prime Minister and President of India for providing financial help or bank loan for the completion of her and her sibling's studies.
She has also sent the copies of her letter to Home Minster of India. Chairperson, National Human Right Commission, New Delhi, National Commission for Women, New Delhi, Chief Minster of Punjab and President of AICC Sonia Gandhi.
In her letter Rubaljeet Kaur, daughter of Harbans Singh, a resident of village Dadwan(Dhariwal) mentioned that they were three brother and sisters. Her younger brother Arminder Singh have passed 10+2 with medical subjects with first division after doing BCA first year while her younger sister Japneet Kaur passed matriculation. She said she had passed 10+2 with Medical subjects with first division and further doing B.SC.(H) first year from SSM College, Dina Nager(Gurdaspur).
Rubaljeet Kaur said she and her brother were having deep interest in further studies but due to week financial position of her family they all are facing problems in our further study. She said the reason behind the circumstances is that some people implicated her father in false and frivolous cases and now after 12 years the courts have acquitted his father in the various cases registered in the different Police stations. She said her father is living in pathetic and miserable conditions.
Rubaljeet said, the court ACJM, Panipat had acquitted his father but their economic position came down day by day and now it is very difficult for them to meet with the daily needs of the life.
Rubaljeet Kaur said she along with her younger brother and sister wants to educate themselves so that they can settle in future but for studying further money is required. She has appealed to PM and CM to help them to study further.
