New Delhi, June, 9 : Over a month after triggering turmoil in Haryana Congress, the Mirchpur clashes on Tuesday again acquired shades of factionalism when the victims of anti-dalit clashes thanked the Congress brass and state government for help and targetted a central minister for instigating them.

As they trained their guns on Selja, on a day Haryana PCC chief P C Mulana and working president Kuldip Sharma met Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, it was clear Haryana was still on the party's radar. There were doubts in Congress circles if the victims were speaking on their own as their change was seen as abrupt.
Besides Rahul's visit to Mirchpur and Sonia's letter to Hooda on the Mirchpur riots, there have been questions on the way the state has handled the crisis. The issue also figured in the meeting of AICC's state coordination committee, which could meet again on June 14. There were clashes in Palwal during the panchayat elections on Monday which again raised doubts among partymen. Mulana, who met Sonia, downplayed the Palwal incident, calling it poll violence. "It was not a caste clash," he said.
