Maharashtra State Convention – Significant Success!

As per the planning of the state conventions of BAMCEF state units for the year 2011, the 24th Maharashtra State convention has held on 17th and 18th September 2011 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Natya Mandir of Nandurbar.Mr. Nitin Ganorkar, State President of Maharashtra said that “around 900 delegates were participated in this convention. If we look at geographical representation the 27 districts showed their enthusiastic participation during convention”, he added. Local participation from Adivasi communities was the achievement of this convention.

Comrade Sharad Patil (Eminent SocialThinker and Writer, Maharashtra) has inaugurated the convention by his speech. At this time Mr. Sanglalybhai Valavi (Adivasi Ekata Parishad, Nizar, Maharashtra) was special guest. Inauguration session was presided over by Mr. S. S. Dhammy (National President, BAMCEF). Mr. B. D. Borkar (Chief Executive, BAMCEF Offshoot Wings), Mr. S. F. Gangawane (Rashtriya Pracharak, BAMCEF) were also present in inauguration session.

Mr. Ganorkar told that the BAMCEF state unit has successfully organised 19 district conventions prior to this state convention. Result of this the BAMCEF is now strengthening its roots towards Taluka level. It was the indicator of this that there was significant participation from Nandurbar, Dhule, Nashik and Jalgaon districts.

It was very successful convention more than its expectations. The Nandurbar is known as a high density of Mulnivasi Adivasis (ST). Since last many years Brahmanical forces are trying to brahminsing to the Adivasis.

BAMCEF had ever organised its state level conventions in the other districts of the Khandesh (North region) but it was the first time that BAMCEF hold a state level event in Nadurbar district. It really was a historic event.

Mr. Sanjay Mohite said that “this convention has given encouragement to the activists and local organisations from Adivasi communities. Activists of local likeminded Adiwasi organisations like Adiwasi Ekta Parishad, Adiwasi Karmachari Mahasangh, Mulnivasi Gan Parishand and Mulnivasi Mukti Munch has participated in this convention and taken inspiration to fight against Brahminism and Brahminical Social Order.” Mr. Sanjay Mohite is Vice President of BAMCEF Maharashtra state unit.

Mr. Mohite told that “there was incidences took place of communal riot, as we know that communal rights are the always result of the conspiracies of brahmanical forces. In spite of this situation many from Nandurbar and Dhule district participated without any fear.” Mr. Mohite added “ The participation of activists in large number, the subjects and deliberations of awakening sessions, discipline of participants all these were an attraction for local media that despite of local tension.”
