So far we have been writing on others. Our enemy oppressors. This is the first time we are focussing on ourselves. Our family future.

BEGGING, BORROWING, STEALING

We have been publishing Dalit Voice from the past 30 years without missing a single issue. And without any readers’ complaint.

We have been doing this work, “begging, borrowing, stealing” — continuously.

Very good sales of our Dalit Sahitya Akademy books do subsidise DV to some extent.

MANUWADI MEDIA MONSTER

Our auditors have been questioning why we are publishing DV incurring losses, year after year.

This is the problem which we can share only with our DV family members. The time has finally come to speak out our mind.

Should we continue DV? Or stop it? When it completes 30 years in another six months?

The IPL cricket madness has shown how the over-fed upper caste dogs have been fighting over their looted money. They have been looting us, sucking our blood even as our people go unemployed, uneducated, hungry and houseless — from centuries.

We have said enough on the naked exploitation of the over 85% Moolnivasi Bahujans by the mere 15% over-fed Lalit Modis — fully protected and glamourised by the manuwadi media monsters.

Our Moolnivasi Bahujan leaders have been blaming this media which shields and perpetuates all the frauds.

INDIA DYING

And at the time killing any leadership springing from our ranks.

All these are known facts. So much so the country, where milk and honey were once flowing, is today becoming dry as desert. India is slowly dying. Brahminists are killing it. Yet we have no powerful all-India media even to say this and reach the message to our masses.

INTERNAL CONTRADICTIONS

Brother Chandanshive as a respected and honest intellectual has given several suggestions (DV May 16, 2010 p.10) to build up a Dalit leadership to fight the common Brahminist enemy. Fine. Nobody can take exception to his directions. The problem comes only when you try to implement it.

India is a country of a hundreds of contradictions — caste, subcaste, language, territorial, religious, economic, political, cultural, historical etc. The Brahminists, who have the sole media monopoly, can sharpen these contradictions, further exploit it and make the different contradictions fight and decimate each other.

30-YEAR-OLD EXPERIMENT

DV in the course of 30 years has been swimming against these very turbulent sea of contradictions and trying to reconcile at least some of the major contradictions. That is how we survived so long and also built a fairly good readership among Dalits, Muslims, Christians and Sikhs. The BCs and OBCs are still sleeping.

THREE COMMANDMENTS

Babasaheb had given his Three Commandments: Educate, Agitate, Organise(Budham, Dhammam, Sangham). Brother Chandanshive is trying to jump on the 3rd floor, ignoring the 1st floor (Educate) and the 2nd floor (Agitate).

The first one is the most difficult stage. If only DV was enabled to set up its “media centre” in Delhi, convert the existing DV into weekly, and bring it out in major Indian languages, half the battle could have been won.

No other step can be taken without our own powerful media. The vaidik rulers can simply kill any effort unless our people are first “educated”. Look how furious was the Brahminical attack on Mayawati currency garland despite all her political power — which is no power.

CHARACTER ASSASSINATION

No honest leader is allowed to come up from the oppressed Moolnivasi Bahujan ranks because of this poisonous media character assassination. Budhism was subverted and driven out.

Our enemy “loves” only frauds and gives them every support. If today no honest Ambedkarite or Muslim leadership is coming up it is because this media promotes only the fake and the fraud.

Look at the massive media buildup the bogus Khatri Sick PM gets. George Fernandes was one such media creation. So too Narendra Modi. There are hundreds of such fakes and frauds created among Muslims, Christian, Sikhs.

WITHOUT MEDIA NOTHING POSSIBLE

Dalit leaders in the political, social, cultural fields etc. are mostly such fakes created by the manuwadi media.

In the light of such a hostile atmosphere, how can we have a decentralised Dalit leadership without the support of our own media?

If only we had our own powerful “media centre” we could have built up our own leadership, promoted it and made it fight the Brahminical fake rulers.

We have thought a good deal on the subject and deliberately did not enter the political field as we will never be tolerated by this very poisonous media.

We confined to Educate — the first commandment of Babasaheb — and brought the DV caravan this far.

OUR TIME-TESTED INTEGRITY

If only each member of the DV contributes just Rs. 1 lakh we can set up a modest DV “media centre” in Delhi and then help prepare the ground to launch the other two — Agitate and then Organise — one after the other. You would then witness the miracle.

Our people have the money. They can simply give trusting us on the basis of our 30-year record.

GIVE US THE CHANCE

This is the first time in 30 years we are announcing our plan in DV and seeking support.

In the course of the past 30 years our DV family has tested our honesty and integrity. There is not even a single complaint against us so far. The DV family world-wide must simply trust us and leave the rest to us.

We have proved our honesty, ability and over 100% conformity to the Ambedkarite line of thought. Give us the chance to fulfil the Chandanshive dream. So, after exhausting all the words in our vocabulary which failed to melt the hearts of our DV family members, we have come to a certain decision :

We have decided to close down DV on completing 30 years —by the year-end.

HARSH DECISION

A couple of years ago we announced a similar decision. But hundreds of our family members requested us not to take such a harsh decision.

They said closure of DV will bring darkness over the Dalit-Bahujan world. Our heart melted. And we were forced to relent.

DV family members have the money. Rs. 1 lakh per DV family member is not a big amount.

We will acknowledge every contribution.

The next six months will test if the Dalits in particular and Moolnivasis in general want to lead an honourable life.

Final words: If the slaves of India want to remain as slaves, enjoying their centuries-old slavery, who can save them?
